Frequently Asked Questions

  • The best vase for faux or artificial flowers is one with a narrower or slimmer neck to hold the stems in position. A wider neck will require a larger flower display. The vase should also have enough height to be able to support the flowers and maintain your display. Glass vases for artificial vases work well if you want to add faux water or glass beads, ceramic and stone vases can give a more styled and interior design feel to the flower display. Ceramic and stone vases have the additional benefit of hiding the stems, which could then be either folded or cut as needed.
  • Some are, but heavy frost, rain and changing temperatures could cause cracking or staining. We suggest checking any accompanying information if available with your planter, checking on them regulary and moving to a more protected or under-cover area during bad weather.
  • We suggest using a coaster or felt pad under your vases to avoid any potential for scratches, marks or damage to furniture, although marking is unlikely. Natural stone is porous, so these items, when containing water, may leave water marks. They may also be of a rougher texture, and so a coaster under the item will give you peace of mind.
  • Most glass and fully ceramic glazed vases are waterproof; some stone and unglazed vases, however, are porous and may need a liner if used with fresh flowers requiring water.
